Our 2020 Shakespeare Schools Festival Company, the Lord Chamberlain’s Women, are delighted to present ‘Macbeth: the Radio Play.’ Fusing Shakespeare’s play with comic outtakes and a soundtrack of the music of Queen, we hope that you enjoy this new take on a familiar classic. Adapting bravely to the challenges of Covid-19, the company have learnt a whole new set of skills, and found inventive ways to bring the sounds of the story to life. Can you detect the snap of celery as ‘another one bites the dust?’ Listen out for the gurgling of the witches’ cauldron and the clink of swords in this evocative performance.
