Start Date:  September 2020

We are seeking to appoint, from September, an outstanding and enthusiastic Teacher of Economics to head up our high-achieving department.  The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, be self-motivated, have a real passion for teaching and the ability to teach a second subject.

Economics ‘A’ Level is a popular option in our Sixth Form and a trend which looks set to continue next academic year.  Economics students follow the Edexcel syllabus and have one class in Year 12 and one in Year 13 both taught for 9 hours a week.  The candidate who is appointed to this post will be able to take the teaching of Economics to the next level and will demonstrate a clear ability to motivate and challenge high achieving students and so prepare them for University study.
