After an exciting and successful exchange trip to Norderney, Germany, at the end of the last academic year, it was Coombe Girls’ School’s turn to welcome the German students to the UK.
As well as attending lessons throughout the school day and spending the evenings with their host families, the exchange students enjoyed exploring London. The week culminated in a celebration as everyone got together to play ten pin bowling.
Miss Elliot said, “The German exchange has been a great success and as well as giving our students experience of a different culture, their spoken language skills have developed really well in the short time spent with their German peers.”
A huge thank you to Miss Elliot for running the exchange and to the German teachers, Mara and Anke for working with us to create what has been a very rewarding set of exchange trips.
We really look forward to running this exchange again in the future.
