Art Trip to the Tate Modern
As part of the Art GCSE course, students are encouraged to go to art exhibitions and museums in order to get inspiration first hand for their projects.
This year, Year 11s went to the Tate Modern on the Southbank. The trip involved allowing groups of students to explore the museum and sketch the eclectic and interesting pieces that the Tate offers.
In doing so, this allowed students to get out of their comfort zone and see different mediums such as suspended exhibitions, video and photography. It was a successful trip and students were able to use this trip to aid their coursework for their upcoming exam at the end of March.
