In DT pupils combine practical and technological skills with creative thinking to design and make products and systems to meet human needs.  Pupils develop confidence in using practical skills and become discriminating users of products.  They apply their creative thinking and learning to innovate.

Design & Technology is a wide-ranging subject that calls on knowledge and concepts developed within other areas of the curriculum.  These are applied and extended in a practical manner reinforcing and enhancing the whole curriculum.
