Departmental Information
In key stage three each year group are taught in streamed classes according to academic ability. At key stage three students experience a diverse range of techniques, approaches and media, in line with National Curriculum requirements. They have one lesson of one hour and ten minutes per week.
There are four GCSE groups in Year 10 and four in Year 11, studying the Edexcel unendorsed syllabus for Art & Design GCSE. All groups are taught in mixed ability classes which is decided upon as a department at the end of the academic year, prior to them embarking on the course. Where possible they remain with the same teacher for the duration of the course. They have two lessons of one hour and ten minutes per week.
