Annual Publishing Competition

Southborough School played host to the annual Publishing Competition on Monday 2nd July. Coombe was represented by Fern Goozee, Sophie Bello, Dima Najib and Louise Saunders from Year 9, who were fantastic ambassadors for the school. The girls worked all day to construct a presentation on a publishing company of their own creation and produce promotional material for a series of books. Unfortunately, their company ‘Bridge Publishers’ didn’t make it into the top three, but they were commended for their efforts by the judges. Miss Ford, who accompanied the team, said: ‘The girls worked so hard and showed real team spirit, I think it was a beneficial project for them all, next year we won’t be beaten!’
