Geographers enjoy Jurassic Coast

Year 11 GCSE Geographers spend two glorious weekends on the South East Dorset coast.

All Year 11 Geography GCSE students have now successfully completed their residential weekends to Swanage and the Dorset coastline as part of their studies on coasts. Two weekends of sunshine and hot temperatures meant that spirits were high and the views were stunning along the coast. Staying at the YHA in Swanage, students ventured along the coastline studying the geomorphological processes and features that formed the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The visited Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Old Harry Rocks and Studland bay all in prepartion for their summer examinations. As is now becoming a tradition on this trip, students also spent valuable time sampling the cream teas during a visit to Corfe Castle.
