Coombe in National Gymnastics Final

Coombe Girls and Coombe Sixth Form entered a mixed under 19 team in the London Regional Floor and Vault Gymnastics Competition earlier this year. After winning this regional final, they then qualified for the National Finals which took place in Stoke on Trent in May. The team consisted of:

Johanna Chappell, Millie Bradley, Vicki Bradley, Kiran Bejawn, Sam Blakley and James Everest
With reserves: Tamsin Lawrence, Carly Mazzola, Laura Cowling and Emily Britton

They competed fantastically at the National Finals against the other 10 regional teams. This competition saw the best gymnasts in the country competing including people who had tried out for the commonwealth games team the previous week!!

The Coombe team, representing the London Region completed all of their routines in the afternoon and then had a tense wait for the presentations. It was then announced that they had finished in 3rd place overall and received medals and flowers presented by the president of the British Schools Gymnastics Association.
