Year 8 students handed in their completed My World projects on Thursday and I am very impressed by the standard and creativity of the work they have produced. For example, Ms Barns has collected in beautifully made dresses, several 'working' volcanoes and models of Eco-houses designed by students, including one made of wood which must have been very heavy to bring in on the bus! The eight-week long project is designed to help students develop their independent learning skills, deepen their knowledge of a topic and allow space for them to be as creative as possible. It is completed by all students in Year 8, with Year 12s acting as mentors and advisers. Congratulations to all involved for the great work!
