Content:
The course is a combination of performing, composing and listening. All of the work is related to 4 areas of study including classical music, 20th century music, musicals and world music. If you sing in the Chamber Choir, play in the Orchestra or take part in any other musical activities in or out of school, you can use these skills and performances as part of your coursework for Performing on the Course. You will also develop your theory and music technology skills.
Assessment:
The practical coursework is made up of 30% performing (1 solo and 1 ensemble) and 30% composing (2 compositions over 2 years) and a final listening exam which is worth 40%.
