The second half of the Autumn Term is always a very busy time with amongst other events:  the start of external GCSE module examinations for Year 10 & Year 11; the Sixth Form Opportunities Evening; the Year 11 mock examination period; our school production; and Carols by Candlelight.  If you need any additional information about any of these events, please do contact the school.

We have been very pleased once again this year with our recruitment into the Coombe Sixth Form and were pleased to meet so many prospective internal and external sixth formers and their parents yesterday evening at our Sixth Form Opportunities Evening.   I hope we managed to convey both our vision for post 16 education and the practicalities of studying towards and becoming a Coombe graduate; if you would like any further information, please do contact us.

You will have noticed in the latest newsletter that I will be holding a ‘parents’ drop in’ session on Wednesday 23rd November between 5pm and 7pm.  If you have any areas of school life that you would like to discuss, please do come along to the school and sign in at reception.  I am a firm believer that good and effective communication between the school and parents is essential to our students’ success and I look forward to meeting you.
