The governing body and I are pleased to inform you that our applications to convert to Academy status have been successful and were confirmed by the Secretary of State yesterday.  We believe that, as Academies, Coombe Girls' School, Coombe Boys' School and the Sixth Form will benefit from the resulting increased autonomy and financial flexibility to ensure that they continue to provide all students with the resources and standard of education needed to help them fulfil their potential.  We would like to thank our parents, students and staff for their support during the conversion process.
