Surrey Schools' County Netball Tournament - Under 16s Netball Team

Well done to the Coombe Girls’ under 16’s Netball team who competed in the Surrey Schools’ County Netball tournament which took place at Surbiton High Schools’ sports grounds in Hinchley Wood on Wednesday 14th October. The team was chosen after Miss Pipe and Miss Burke held trials for this event and was made up of both year 10 and 11. Claudia Kelly (year 11) did an excellent job as captain along side Anna Tebble (year 11) who was vice captain. Becky Lyster (year 11) was chosen as the team’s tactics manager and the rest of the team included Becky Kill, Olivia Walters, Rachel Martin, Heather Martin (all year 11) and Malory Torr and Ellie Williams (year 10).  The team did extremely well being pipped at the post by Putney High School with a very close score of 9 – 8 which just knocked them out of going through to the next round. This won’t be the last of the girls as the have the National Schools’ Netball Tournament coming up soon. Well done and best of luck for the National’s girls!
