Design & Technology Summer School 2009
Thank you for enquiring about Coombe Girls’ School Design & Technology Workshop. We are expecting to have a
lot of fun and learn new skills during the four days. It will be a great opportunity for your daughter to get to know the
school and make new friends. Many current year seven students have commented on how much they enjoyed last
year’s event.
The D&T workshop will run from Monday 24th August to 27th August 2009, 9.30am – 3.00pm.
This year, there will be an added emphasis on literacy and the use of ICT. There will be various fun and interesting
Design and Technology activities where students will design and make various items. In addition to this we are
taking the students out on the first day for a trip to London. The venue will be the focus for the design activities. If
there is sufficient interest, I will be able to go ahead and make a booking.
The cost of the workshop to parents will be £55 and includes the cost of the trip to London. I am sure this will prove
very popular as it still gives great value for money. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first
served basis. Your daughter will need to bring a packed lunch on each day.
