Coombe Girls’ Happy Christmas

Great news this week, at Coombe Girls’ School four pupils had their art work chosen to be on this year’s Department of Education and Skills Christmas card.

Coombe Girls’ School was chosen out of thousands of schools around the country to represent the DfES this Christmas. The card will be sent to people throughout the country and round the world to represent education in Britain and a colourful Christmas. The pupil’s artwork was selected by the DfES
publicity office after they came to view Coombe Girls’ summer art exhibitions in June.

Ben Keeble, Head of Art, was thrilled with the news ‘It is a great achievement for the pupils and the card looks amazing.’

Anna Tebble, Year 8, was one of the pupils whose art work was chosen for the card design and it is the first time her art has been put into print. ‘I am really happy that my art work has been chosen by the DfES. Art is one of my favourite subjects and I would love to develop it further in my future’.
